This is a destination of the world that is not widely explored; however, it is a great place to see wildlife thrive in this ice-covered environment.  You’ll see whales, seals, penguins, and many different species of birds.  The ice-capped mountains are stunning.  Calving glaciers are quite a sight to see.  You may have an opportunity to kayak in the icy waters to see the wildlife and glaciers up close.  Antarctica trips are explored on an exploration ship.  These ships are designed to cut through the ice while maintaining a smooth ride.  If you want a different experience, this is definitely the destination for you.
